Monomyth Materials is a Chicago-based advanced materials company building America's domestic anode supply chain. Over 90% of active anode material comes from China. Monomyth is changing that, with synthetic graphite at scale and next-generation silicon anodes under one roof.
Its M2Graphite subsidiary has drawn more than $100M of investment since 2022 and is launching the first of three capital programs, each over $1B, to build domestic anode-grade synthetic graphite capacity, starting in Bainbridge, Georgia, and bringing back up to 1,000 high-value manufacturing jobs. Its new M2Innovations business, built on the assets of NanoGraf, adds proprietary silicon oxide anode technology, battery maker relationships and a path from R&D to pilot scale cells for EVs, energy storage and defense. Domestic graphite plus silicon: the full anode stack, made in America.
